BLDS Enables Full-text Access to Our Earlier Research Reports

A partnership with British Library of Development Studies has made available over 500 of our full-text research reports online. (see online article: Improving Access to Development Research from IDS and Beyond)

Full-text copies of developing country research from the shelves of the British Library for Development Studies (BLDS) and from the former School of Development Studies and its predecessors make up the sub-community. These publications have been made available online to a global audience through partnership agreements between BLDS and the former School of Development Studies, and more recently SoBEDS, at UKZN.

The collection contains a selection of publications from former departments at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and its predecessor, the University of Natal, made available under a Creative Commons Licence. These are grouped under a general heading (Development Studies) and include over 500 reports produced by our antecedents, namely the Institute for Social Research (ISR), Centre for Applied Social Sciences (CASS), Centre for Social and Development Studies (CSDS), and School of Development Studies (SDS), as well as a selection from other research units.
