Glen Robbins was the author of a report for WIEGO on Major International Events and the Working Poor which was part of the WIEGO Technical Brief (Urban Policy) series. This is a question raised here in relation to the World Cup in South Africa, but it also applies to all major events of this nature. In fact this report is intended as an organizational tool for planning and strategy development for those working with vulnerable groups in cities where such events are intended.
